Dear Friends And Family:
Late last month, following both state and city orders and guidelines, and in the hopes we could help in slowing the rise in the deadly Covid-19 Coronavirus, Geoffrey’s Inner Circle began suspending all public events at our establishment. No-one knows right now when California’s shelter-in-place orders will be lifted, but we will continue to keep our doors closed until we are advised by the governor's and mayor's offices that it is safe both for you the general public, for our performers, and for our staff to open up again.
I regret having to take this step. My lifelong experience has been that music has been a tonic that has helped to raise our spirits in tough times, and raising the spirit has always been part of our saving grace, a tremendous help in getting over the difficult rivers we have to cross. For that reason, I wish we could all gather together in song in these troubled days. But at the present time, that is not possible.
Therefore, I ask that you pass each hour with a song and a prayer in your head and in your heart, and strive to join these together with all friends and family, if even at a distance, and it is upon this bridge that we will walk, and get over, and gather together on the other side.
Meanwhile, be safe, join us in prayer, and follow the best practices to keep this Coronavirus scourge out of your body, your family, and your homes.
My deepest love and affection, until we gather again.
Geoffrey Pete
